2025 Weddings on Hawarden Estate

Tailor-made for your perfect day

A wedding on Hawarden Estate will be designed to work specifically for your special day. Our team are experienced in creating magical days in any of our spaces.

The famous, storied and beautiful Hawarden Estate is uniquely modern in outlook. It is home to a multi-award-winning farm shop, restaurant and pub as well as some of the best self-catering accommodation in the UK. There is a bakery, a beautiful Walled Garden, medieval castle ruins, a school of craft, wellness and food, a nature trail and lots more.

We have many different and beautiful spaces for you to host your special day. The Estate is just 15 minutes from Chester, 40 minutes from Liverpool and Manchester, and two and a half hours from London on the train.

We have nearly ten years experience in creating truly special, unique events and weddings making Hawarden Estate the perfect location for your wedding.

The Conservatory

The Conservatory is a newly refurbished dedicated events space which sits just behind the Walled Garden.  The Conservatory can sit up to 80 people. This is a wedding venue quite like no other.

The Walled Garden

With a feeling of total privacy and amazing views of Hawarden Castle, this is a truly special venue. Our terrace can sit around 60 people with space for a bar and dance floor. We offer prices for one and day day bookings. Why not book a recovery day the next day with a sauna, hot tub and breakfast cooked over the fire?

The Glynne Arms

We have a few different event spaces at The Glynne Arms, perfect for smaller celebrations. Or, you can book out the whole pub.

Guests and newlyweds can immerse themselves in nature and all the estate has to offer. This is a special place; a vast walled garden overlooks Hawarden Castle encased by ancient trees, with views looking up to the 13th century historic old castle.

Capacity and Facilities

Our capacity depends on which of our spaces you would like to have your celebration in. We can cater for smaller, intimate weddings or for parties of up to 80 people seated. Get in touch to talk about your options on Hawarden Estate.

The facilities on Hawarden Estate are what set us apart. We have the best showers and loos, designed to the highest specification, fully licensed premises, a private car park, and ample idyllic beauty spots for wedding photography.

Though we can’t hold the Legal ceremony on Hawarden Estate we would recommend St. Deiniol’s Church in Hawarden Village, a beautiful church with whom we have a close relationship.

Food and Drink

We can cater to whatever you would like for your wedding breakfast. Our passion is to cook over fire with confidence and genuine skill to provide a ‘feast style’ dinner. Think big platters and dishes to share, all delivered with colour and fun. But, if you would prefer a traditional sit down style, our team of chefs can cater for this too,

We pride ourselves on delivering the best food you could possibly experience at a wedding.

Accommodation

Hawarden Estate  boasts onsite holiday accommodation.  Gardener’s House is a fully refurbished house, just a stone’s throw from Hawarden Castle’s Walled Garden. In communal areas you’ll find a record player, working fireplace, fully equipped shared kitchen and a large sitting room. Gardener’s House guests will have private access to the garden and wood-fired hot tub.

We also have Beekeeper’s Hut in The Walled Garden. Perhaps the perfect place for a newlywed couple.

And finally, we have the astonishing property within Hawarden Castle, The West End.
